Graphic design is one of those wonderful fields that offers open-ended opportunities for creativity. It is art blended with information and often salted with humor. My kind of field!

And how it has evolved.... Upon graduation, I was immediately hired by Tektronix. It was the beginning of a long, fruitful partnership with the high-tech world. Most projects entailed interpreting complex data into easily understood graphics for the general public. A stint with an advertising agency followed, turning me into an accomplished art director and a stickler for budgets and deadlines.

Freelancing brings a broader range of clients and projects –
everything from signage to books! I enjoy collaborating with my clients to define and solve challenging problems and seeking solutions that are both appropriate and original. My design style is often described as “Swiss” in that it’s clean, colorful and legible. My personal and professional involvement with urban planning and environmental issues provides a solid background and deep understanding on these topics.

Clients include: Metro, State of Oregon, Oregon State Bar, REACH Community Development, Mentor Graphics, HP, Audubon Society of Portland, Marylhurst University, Walsh Construction Co. and Northwest Pilot Project.
